Tawang Monastery, Arunachal Pradesh
Tawang Monastery in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh is the second largest Monastery in the world. the first largest located in the Tibetan valley, The Buddha statue is a massive three storeys in height, and has a perimeter wall of 900 feet.
The Buddha statue has a brass bowl in its left hand and is covered with silk loin cloth. On the either side of the statue are balconies overlooking the statue from the either side. Standing on one of the balconies, try to toss a coin to make it land into the bowl. It is believed here that anyone who is able to do that in one go will have his wish fulfilled.
